Wendy Robinson
Executive Director
Wendy Robinson is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Marcy’s Project. With more than 28 years in sales and leadership — including 18 years in wireless and over a decade in security sales management — she has built her career on relationships, vision, and bringing people together.
In 2020, after meeting Marcy and witnessing her heart for families in need, Wendy and her husband Gregg launched Marcy’s Project. What began as helping one family has grown into a 501(c)(3) serving families across St. Charles County through four focused initiatives, powered by more than 200 volunteers and a generous community.
Wendy leads with both business experience and a deep love for people, building not just programs — but community.

Gregg Robinson
Founding Board Member
Inspired by a deep commitment to community service, Gregg Robinson co-founded Marcy’s Project in 2020 with his wife, Wendy. After meeting Marcy in October 2019, the two began laying the groundwork for what would become a nonprofit dedicated to supporting families in need throughout St. Charles County.
Gregg brings more than 35 years of experience in the retail optical industry, where his career has been defined by leadership, innovation, and team development. He has held roles spanning sales, district and regional management, and national retail recruiting, helping drive growth and build strong teams across multiple markets.
In addition, Gregg spent nine years in the wireless industry with Sprint, supporting indirect sales through national retail partners and further strengthening his expertise in relationship-building and operational excellence.
Connie Ruff
Founding Board Member
Connie Ruff serves as Treasurer and a founding Board Member of Marcy’s Project, bringing more than 30 years of accounting and financial leadership experience to the organization. A Certified Public Accountant, Connie has played a vital role in ensuring strong financial stewardship since Marcy’s Project’s inception.
A graduate of Maryville University with a degree in Accounting, Connie has a long history of volunteer service, including prior roles as Treasurer for Ducks Unlimited St. Charles Chapter and Synchro St. Louis. Passionate about giving back, Connie believes that volunteering strengthens communities and creates greater understanding. In their spare time, they enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Karen Boone, MD
Founding Board Member
Dr. Karen Boone is a third-generation physician and board-certified otolaryngologist who has served the St. Charles region for more than 30 years. A founding partner of Midwest ENT Centre, she is known for her personalized approach to care and commitment to clinical excellence.
A St. Louis native, Dr. Boone earned her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and completed her residency at Saint Louis University. She has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor for 15 consecutive years and named a St. Louis Top Physician since 2000.
A founding board member of Marcy’s Project, Dr. Boone played a key role in early fundraising, program development, and shaping the organization’s vision. She believes giving back is a privilege and is deeply committed to strengthening her community through purposeful, compassionate service.
She and her husband, Dennis, are longtime supporters of local organizations and value a life rooted in family, service, and meaningful work.
Doug Raines
Board Member
Doug Raines has spent his life serving others. After more than 30 years in the fire service, he retired as a Captain and continues his commitment to the community through his work as owner of RHA Insurance in St. Peters, helping individuals and families protect what matters most.
A lifelong St. Charles County resident and Fort Zumwalt High School graduate, Doug remains deeply involved in the community. He serves in leadership roles with organizations including St. Charles Vision Leadership and United Services for Children.
Doug is a trusted leader and advocate for child safety and community-focused initiatives. Whether through public service, business, or volunteer work, he brings purpose, integrity, and heart to everything he does.
Ann Walton
Board Member
Ann Walton has more than 35 years of experience in retail banking and currently serves as Vice President and Branch Relationship Manager at Regions Bank, where she leads the Mid Rivers branch in St. Peters. She focuses on building strong client relationships, with an emphasis on small business growth and lending.
A three-time Chairman’s Club winner, Ann is known for her people-first approach to customer service and business development. She has been actively involved in the community for more than two decades through organizations like BNI and the Cottleville Chamber of Commerce, where she serves as an ambassador and helps lead group initiatives.
Before joining Regions, Ann spent 24 years with UMB in roles ranging from teller to branch manager and later served as Assistant Vice President and Small Business Development Officer at Reliance Bank. She began her career as a part-time teller while still in high school.
Ann has lived and worked in St. Charles County for more than 35 years and now lives in Wentzville with her husband. She has two children and remains deeply connected to the community she serves.
